MantelMount MAX2 in Kelowna
The pull-down TV mount for fireplace walls. Supplied and installed across the Okanagan by TV Mounting Kelowna, an authorized MantelMount dealer.
The problem
Above the fireplace is the wrong height to watch.
It is where most living rooms want the TV, and where most feature walls are built for it. But the comfortable height for a screen is its centre at seated eye level, roughly 42 to 51 inches off the floor. Over a mantel it often ends up at 70 inches or more, and you watch with your head tipped back.
Until now the usual fix was a tilting mount. It angles the screen down, but it leaves the TV where it is. The MAX2 moves it: it pulls the TV out past the mantel and brings it down to eye level when you sit down to watch, then lifts it back up, 3 inches off the wall, when you are done.
22″ inches out 28″ inches down
How it moves
Out, down, and turned to face you.
Pull it out
Up to 22 inches off the wall, so the TV clears the mantel and whatever sits on it.
Bring it down
Press the switch and the motor-assisted lift lowers it as much as 28 inches. It holds wherever you stop it.
Turn it
Swivel it up to 40 degrees left or right, at any height, to face the sofa or the kitchen.
When you are finished it goes back up and sits 3 inches off the wall, like any flat mount.
Watch
The MAX2, moving.

Why Wil installs it
A mount that moves needs a wall that holds.
It goes into structure.
Every mount is anchored into studs, blocking or masonry anchors, never drywall alone. A TV that travels 28 inches puts real load on the wall.
The heat is checked first.
Before anything goes above a fireplace we look at how much heat it throws and what is behind the finish.
The cables disappear.
Power and HDMI run inside the wall to a recessed plate, so nothing hangs down the front of your feature wall.
The work speaks for itself.

How far down does the MantelMount MAX2 bring the TV?
Up to 28 inches, motor-assisted, at the press of a switch. It pulls the TV up to 22 inches out from the wall first, so the screen clears the mantel on the way down, and it stops wherever you leave it.
Will it work with my mantel?
Most likely. Because the MAX2 pulls the TV out before it brings it down, you are not stuck measuring the mantel and working out a mounting height that clears it, the way other mantel mounts need. Wil measures your fireplace wall at the free consultation and tells you before anything is ordered.
Is it safe above a working fireplace?
The MAX2 has heat-sensing handles that warn you when it is getting too hot. Before we mount anything above a fireplace we also check how much heat it throws and what is behind the finish, and if a wall is not suitable we will say so.
Will it fit my TV?
It is rated for up to 150 lb, soundbar included. MantelMount lists slightly different screen-size ranges in different places, so Wil checks your exact TV model and its mounting pattern before you order.
How much does the MAX2 cost installed?
It is quoted as a supplied-and-installed job, because the wall makes the difference: what it is made of, where the structure is, and whether power and HDMI are going inside it. Call or text Wil on 604-721-5405 and he will give you a number for your wall.
Can I buy the MAX2 online?
No. The MAX2 is part of MantelMount’s Pro Series, which is sold only through authorized dealers who install it. TV Mounting Kelowna is an authorized MantelMount dealer serving Kelowna and the Okanagan.
